EatyourCAD is proud to announce the first US CAD Managers Forum event ever in the United States! We will be travelling over to Kansas for the Mid-continent MicroStation Community conference and taking the opportunity to host a CAD Managers Forum where our American friends can share their experiences and knowledge and learn from each other in the proven CAD Managers Forum format.

NOTE: This is not a day of presentations, the Forums are discussion-based and actively encourage attendees' participation.

The agenda is focussed on the changing role of the CAD Manager and includes the following sessions of open discussion and learning:

BIM and the CAD Manager
The focus of this session is to identify how BIM is impacting the role of the CAD Manager. Through interactive discussion and viewpoints we will provide a deeper understanding of what BIM means to you.

  • How does BIM affect me?
  • What do I need to implement BIM?
  • Which software is the best to use?
  • Is there a suitable BIM standard which we can use?

Training
Training can be a large expense. How can you make the most of what is available to you and improve working methods? This session aims to identify how to gain the maximum benefit from software and the benefits of continual professional development.

  • Should your company be investing more money and time into training?
  • How widely used is benchmarking, and how effectively?
  • How effective is in-house training compared to external?
  • What’s the difference between training and best practice?
